The Snoqualmie Valley Rifle Club’s status as a non-profit corporation includes an element of service to the community. Some of our community service offerings include training such as Hunter Education, Juniors, Boy Scout Merit Badges, NRA Safety Courses; community events like Hunter Sight-In Days, Educational Booth at Alpine days and our Disciplines, and events in support of training for our local law enforcement agencies. Your Board of Directors frequently reviews these important community contributions and balances our commitments to non-member programs with our membership’s need for open access to the range.

As part of our community service mission for law enforcement, last year the Board of Directors agreed to set aside ten calendar days each year for exclusive use of law enforcement agencies. Five of these days are allocated to Valley organizations; Snoqualmie Police Department, Washington State Patrol officers working in the Valley, and the King County Sheriff’s Department. The other five days are allocated for local law enforcement agencies on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure that these training days have as little impact as possible on the membership, we limit these agencies’ exclusive use of the range to workday hours on weekdays: Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. At our February meeting, the Redmond Police Department requested five days for officer training. The Board voted unanimously to approve all five days requested by this department. The days of the range closure are listed below. We appreciate your support of our community service mission and thank you for accommodating the scheduled training events.
